Y8-39 & Y9-38 High-Pressure Centrifugal Blowers for Industrial Boilers and Dust Extraction

Application

The Y8-39 and Y9-38 Series Centrifugal Blowers are designed to work with 0.5-35t/h industrial boilers that are equipped with economizers (preheaters) and dust extraction devices. These High-Pressure Centrifugal Fans are also applicable for other boilers with similar air intake requirements and performance characteristics, provided the maximum air intake temperature does not exceed 250°C. An efficient dust removal device with a minimum 85% efficiency should be installed before the induced draft fan to reduce the dust content of the flue gas entering the fan. This not only minimizes environmental pollution but also reduces wear and tear on the fan caused by smoke and dust, thereby extending its service life.

Form

  1. 1. The Y8-39 and Y9-38 Centrifugal Fans are single-suction units available in 13 different sizes: No.4, No.4.5, No.5, No.5.6, No.6.3, No.7.1, No.8, No.9, No.10, No.11.2, No.12.5, No.14, and No.16.
  2. 2. The fans can be configured in both right-handed and left-handed orientations. When viewed from the motor end, a clockwise impeller rotation indicates a right-handed fan, while a counterclockwise rotation denotes a left-handed fan.
  3. 3. The fan outlet position is marked by the casing outlet angle, and both right-hand and left-hand configurations can be manufactured with six different outlet angles: 0°, 45°, 90°, 135°, 180°, and 225°.

Structural Characteristics

The Y8-39 and Y9-38 Series Centrifugal Fans are composed of several main components: impeller, casing, air inlet, transmission unit, regulating door, and more.

  1. 1. The impeller is constructed from Q345 (16Mn) steel with a combination of long and short forward-curved blades. The impeller undergoes static and dynamic balance testing to ensure smooth and stable operation.
  2. 2. The casing is made of welded steel plates, forming a volute-shaped design. A dust removal door is included, allowing for easy cleaning of dust deposits to maintain balance and aerodynamic performance.
  3. 3. The air inlet is designed as a streamlined convergent structure and is secured to the front cover assembly with bolts, enhancing airflow efficiency.
  4. 4. The transmission unit consists of the main shaft, water-cooled bearing box, and coupling. The main shaft is made from high-quality steel and uses rolling bearings. Two types of bearing boxes are available: integral and split. Models No.4 to No.6.3 use integral bearing boxes, while models No.7.1 to No.16 use split bearing boxes. Water cooling is required for both types, and water consumption ranges from 0.5 to 1m³/h depending on the working and ambient temperatures. The bearing box is equipped with a thermometer and an oil level indicator. L-AN46 total loss system oil is used as the lubricant, with the oil volume based on the indicated level.
  5. 5. The regulating door controls the airflow range from fully closed (90°) to fully open (0°). The petal-shaped blades are axially installed in front of the air inlet, and the external transmission structure makes adjustments flexible and easy. For optimal operation, the regulating door should be lubricated with high-temperature bentonite grease, ensuring smooth performance at temperatures up to 260℃.

Performance and Selection

  1. 1. To select the appropriate model, users should refer to the performance table based on the desired airflow and total pressure. Alternative motor types may be chosen if the power and speed specifications are compatible; these details should be noted when placing an order.
  2. 2. The total pressure deviation of factory-tested fans should not exceed ±6% at the rated flow rate.
  3. 3. The performance of models No.4 to No.6.3 is based on a flue gas temperature of 220℃ and 200℃, an atmospheric pressure of Pa=101325Pa, and a gas density of ρ=0.713 kg/m³ and 0.745 kg/m³. For models No.7.1 and above, performance is calculated with a gas temperature of 200℃ and 175℃, an atmospheric pressure of Pa=10325Pa, and a gas density of ρ=0.745 kg/m³ and 0.784 kg/m³. If operating conditions deviate from these parameters, the performance should be adjusted using the appropriate conversion formula.
