Application

The Y5-47 Type II boiler centrifugal induced draft fan is designed for industrial boilers with capacities ranging from 0.2 to 20t/h. It is particularly suitable for applications involving smoke and dust removal, where air inlet conditions require a maximum temperature not exceeding 250°C. This industrial centrifugal fan can accommodate various coal qualities and adapt to different dust collectors and installation pipeline resistances, making it versatile across a wide range of industrial boiler systems.

Type

The Y5-47 Type II fan is an enhanced version of the original Y5-47 fan, featuring improved efficiency and reduced noise levels. It offers full-pressure internal efficiency of 85.6% at optimal operation points, with a noise index of 12.5dB(A). The fan is available in multiple sizes, from No.3.15 to No.11D, with options for both left-hand and right-hand rotation. The fan’s air outlet angles can be customized to 0°, 90°, or 180°, depending on specific application needs. Additionally, the fan offers two transmission modes: Type C (belt drive) and Type D (elastic coupling drive).
 

Structural Features

The Y5-42 centrifugal fan is composed of several key components:

  1. 1. Impeller: The impeller consists of 12 backward-inclined flat blades made from Q345 (16Mn) steel, ensuring high strength, wear resistance, and smooth operation due to dynamic balancing.
  2. 2. Casing: The volute casing is constructed from welded steel plates and is compatible with both left-hand and right-hand rotations for machines above No.8.
  3. 3. Transmission: The main shaft is made from high-quality steel, supported by ball bearings, with options for low-noise bearings on smaller models. The transmission is either belt-driven (Type C) or directly driven via elastic coupling (Type D).
  4. 4. Air Inlet: The convergent-divergent air inlet is integrated into the casing and fixed with bolts for secure attachment.
  5. 5. Regulating Door: The fan features adjustable regulating doors, with a three-blade design for smaller models and an eleven-blade design for larger models, allowing precise control of airflow.

Performance parameters, including flow rate and total pressure, are detailed in the performance and options table, allowing for precise selection based on specific application requirements. The fan’s efficiency is divided into 8 performance points within the range of 90% maximum efficiency. For accurate performance adjustments, users should refer to the fan selection curve and performance table, considering the specific operating conditions, such as gas temperature and atmospheric pressure.
