High-Pressure Centrifugal Fans T6-31, T7-16 for Boilers

Application

The T6-31, T7-16, T9-28, and T9-19 centrifugal fans are widely used in fluidized bed boiler systems, high-pressure draft systems, dust removal, and mine ventilation applications. Operating at a maximum temperature of 250℃, these high-efficiency fans are ideal for harsh industrial conditions, ensuring reliable airflow control and consistent performance across various sectors.

Form

  1.
  2. 1. The fans are available in two structural types: D-type (cantilever, single air intake) and F-type (double support, single air intake), with 32 machine numbers for selection, offering diverse configuration options.
  3. 2. Fans can be constructed in both left-hand and right-hand models. Right-hand fans rotate clockwise when viewed from the motor end, while left-hand fans rotate counterclockwise.
  4. 3. D-type fans are identified by the casing’s air outlet angle, and F-type fans are labeled by both the inlet angle of the air inlet box and the outlet angle of the casing, e.g., 45° outlet and 135° inlet.
  5. 4. These fans use direct drive with elastic couplings or diaphragm couplings between the motor and fan.
  6. 5. Example product models: T6-31-1No.18D right 45° and T6-31-1No.20F left 45°/135°, where T stands for fan, 6 represents the total pressure coefficient (multiplied by 10), and 31 indicates the specific speed. The numbers 18 and 20 refer to the impeller diameters of 1800mm and 2000mm.

Structural Characteristics

  1.
  2. 1. Designed for medium flow and high pressure head, these fans are especially suitable for 35-410t/h fluidized bed boilers. They offer high efficiency and reliable operation for high-temperature applications.
  3. 2. These fans incorporate a double-support structure for added reliability, especially at higher speeds. The design is based on successful pulverized coal fan technology, with impellers running at 1500r/min and diameters up to 2.2m.
  4. 3. The fan’s high-efficiency range is wide, and the fan numbers are arranged closely to simplify the selection process and optimize operating points.
  5. 4. Featuring adjustable air inlet technology, these fans allow precise adjustments between the air inlet and the impeller during both installation and operation, ensuring that no friction occurs.
  6. 5. The oblique cone air inlet eliminates the strong vortex area in front of the inlet, ensuring stable airflow. This unique design boosts performance and ensures smooth fan operation.
  7. 6. The fan is equipped with a self-aligning axial and radial adjustment door, allowing flexible and safe airflow adjustments. This door’s design ensures that no "dead spots" occur during adjustment, preventing overload on the actuator.
  8. 7. The anti-leakage bearing box uses overlapping oil slinger rings and imported SKF bearings to prevent oil leakage. The semi-circular aluminum oil seal helps prevent friction accidents, while the bearing box vent plug reduces pressure buildup, ensuring excellent dustproof performance.
  9. 8. Each fan is fully equipped with accessories such as a regulating door, coupling cover, inlet and outlet flanges, flexible connections, anchor bolts, and a temperature gauge. Optional accessories include actuators, vibration-measuring instruments, mufflers, and other components.
  10. 9. The fans come with comprehensive technical documentation, including detailed information on the weight of main components, static and dynamic loads, rotor inertia, and torque resistance curves for the fan starting process.
  11. 10. Quality Assurance:
  • 1. Each fan undergoes performance testing based on fan model data to ensure accurate performance predictions.
  • 2. Non-destructive testing is performed on impellers over 2m in diameter or with circumferential speeds exceeding 100m/s.
  • 3. For impellers with diameters above φ1700mm, reinforced blades and cover plates are used to withstand high speeds.
  • 4. The fan’s inlet and outlet are equipped with soft connection belts to prevent damage from pipeline stress.
  • 5. Fans larger than No.13 include vibration protection devices to prevent operational damage.

Performance and Selection

  1.
  2. 1. Fan performance is defined by flow rate, total pressure, shaft speed, shaft power, and efficiency. These parameters are calculated for air with a temperature of t₀ = 20℃, atmospheric pressure Pa₀ = 101325Pa, and air density ρ₀ = 1.2kg/m³. For performance selection, reference the values listed in the performance curve and table for operation with the blades fully open. The total pressure deviation should not exceed ±5%.
  3. 2. These performance figures are based on model test data and can be adjusted based on specific industrial requirements.
  4. 3. To address excessive or insufficient flow, first check for pipe network resistance fluctuations, blockages, or fan pressure deviations. Adjustments can be made by:
  • 1. Changing the fan’s speed
  • 2. Regulating the airflow using the fan’s adjustment door
  • 3. Replacing the fan with a model of higher or lower pressure
  • 4. Adjusting the pipe network resistance coefficient (K)
If the flow remains insufficient with the regulating door fully open, consider increasing the fan speed or modifying the pipe network to reduce the resistance coefficient. However, the fan speed must not exceed the maximum speed listed in the performance table.
