FCZ Series Long Shaft Mine Fan is an industrial ventilation system crucial in mining operations. It consists of a robust structure with an extended shaft connecting the motor and the fan blades. Engineered for underground environments, this fan ensures efficient airflow and air quality within mines or tunnels. Its design allows it to handle substantial air volumes and pressures, contributing significantly to maintaining a safe and breathable atmosphere for miners. These fans are pivotal in regulating ventilation and air circulation, promoting a secure working environment in the mining industry.
The impeller stages of the ventilation fan can be designed as single-stage or two-stage based on the operational parameters required in the mine. There are two available methods for blade adjustment: dynamic blade hydraulic synchronous adjustment and mechanical adjustment without stopping the machine.
The electric motor is connected to the ventilation fan via a transmission shaft, and it is externally mounted on the outside of the diffusion tower.
The motor has a protection rating of IP55, meeting the requirements for outdoor use. As per customer preferences, a standard electric motor or an explosion-proof motor can be selected.
The fan blades are designed using an airfoil shape and manufactured from 2A50 high-strength aluminum alloy. After being forged as a single piece, they undergo precise machining to ensure both strength and precise blade contours. Each individual blade is assigned a unique identification number and subjected to static torque testing. Installation involves arranging the blades based on their static torque values, ensuring optimal dynamic balance for the entire impeller. In case of damage to a single blade, its manufacturing information can be retrieved using the assigned number, allowing for the replication of an identical blade. This process ensures that the replacement of a single damaged blade does not compromise the overall dynamic balance of the impeller.
The fan hub is forged as a single blank, followed by welding the blade rings. Subsequently, the assembly undergoes stress-relieving annealing to alleviate residual stresses. After precision machining, the assembly undergoes initial dynamic balancing. Upon completion of equipping hub components, a secondary dynamic balancing procedure is conducted. Both balancing procedures comply with G2.5 grade specifications.
The fan bearing housing is capable of accommodating both radial and bidirectional axial forces. The bearing design ensures a service life of over 100,000 hours. Prior to leaving the factory, the bearing housing undergoes a load test based on the actual maximum load. After reaching a stable temperature rise, it operates continuously for at least 8 hours, ensuring vibrations remain ≤2.0mm/s and temperature rise is below 50℃.

FAQ
Q: We have no data about the air quantity of the fan, can you give us some recommendations?
A: Yes, just let us know the tunnel diameter/length, and our engineer will design it for you.
Q: We want ventilation fans for our coal mine, is there anything we should pay attention to?
A: If using fans in a coal mine (especially underground), an explosion-proof motor and aluminum alloy impeller is necessary.
Q: What's the meaning of a double-stage fan? And what are the advantages?
A: Double stage fan, means two sets fan used in series. Advantages: larger pressure, long air delivery distance, but the fan will be more compact.
