Application


The 9-35 and Y9-35 Series Boiler Draft and Induced Draft Fans are widely used in steam refinery systems with capacities from 2 to 240 t/h. The basic model for the draft fan is labeled as "9-35", while the induced draft fan is labeled as "Y9-35". These fans are available in both single-suction and double-suction configurations, making them ideal for ventilation and exhaust systems in industrial boilers.
 

Structural Characteristics


  • 1. Transmission Mode: The transmission system utilizes a coupling to connect the motor. Single-suction fans are categorized as type D, and double-suction fans are categorized as type F, ensuring stable and reliable transmission of power.
  • 2. Impeller Design: The impeller is constructed with forward-curved blades, a conical front disc, and a flat rear or middle disc. The blades are riveted to the shaft disc to increase stability and resistance to wear. For the induced draft fans, thicker blades and reinforced parts at the blade roots are used to extend service life under harsh operating conditions.
  • 3. Transmission Part: The main shaft is made of premium steel, and rolling bearings are used in all models. The bearing box is equipped with a thermometer and oil level indicator for monitoring, and the induced draft fans have an additional cooling water system for effective heat management.
  • 4. Casing Design: The casing is a spiral structure welded from steel plates, offering durability and protection against wear. A replaceable lining is added to the spiral plate of the induced draft fans, making maintenance easier and more cost-effective.
  • 5. Flow Regulation: Single-suction induced draft fans are equipped with eight petal-type regulators at the air inlet, while double-suction induced draft fans use four simple flow regulators on both sides of the air inlet boxes to control airflow.

Performance and Selection


  • 1. Select the appropriate fan model based on the flow rate and total pressure from the performance curve.
  • 2. Choose the matching motor based on the performance selection table, ensuring the motor specifications meet the requirements for power and efficiency.
  • 3. The performance table divides the operational range into eight performance points, each corresponding to 90% of the maximum efficiency, depending on the flow rate.
  • 4. For standard air conditions, the performance of the 9-35 type fan is calculated based on a gas temperature of t=20℃, atmospheric pressure of Pa=101300Pa, and gas density of ρ=1.2kg/m³. For induced draft fans (Y9-35 type), the performance is calculated under flue gas conditions at t=200℃, atmospheric pressure of Pa=101300Pa, and gas density of ρ=0.745kg/m³.
  • 5. Most motors in the performance selection table operate on low voltage (220~380V). If a high voltage motor (above 3000V) is needed, the motor capacity must not be lower than the power required in the table.
