With the increasing popularity of the fresh air system, the publicity horns of major brands have become louder and louder, and various electrostatic dust removal and high-efficiency dust removal products have appeared one after another. Electrostatic precipitation is an air purification technology that uses ionized air to charge the particles in the air, so that they are adsorbed by electrodes.

Advantages of electrostatic precipitator
1. When the dust removal system is clean, the efficiency of electrostatic precipitator can be as high as 90%, and the efficiency of electrostatic precipitator dedicated to fresh air can reach more than 99%.
2. The cost of electrostatic precipitator is low. Compared with high-efficiency filtration and dust removal, which requires hundreds or thousands of filters to replace, electrostatic precipitator only needs to be cleaned regularly, and the maintenance cost is lower in the later period.
3. Because there is no filter screen to block the electrostatic precipitator, the wind resistance is smaller, and it is more energy-saving.

Disadvantages of electrostatic precipitator
1. If the dust removal system is not cleaned in time, it will greatly affect the dust removal effect. In addition, when the air volume is large, the cleaning effect will also be affected.
2. High-efficiency filtration and dust removal can be accompanied by an additional activated carbon filter to absorb gas pollutants such as formaldehyde, benzene, ammonia, TVOC, etc., while electrostatic dust removal generally cannot.
3. Static electricity will cause the oxygen molecules in the air to react to generate ozone. At present, there is no uniform standard for the ozone emission of fresh air electrostatic precipitators, and whether the ozone emission of most brands exceeds the standard has not been tested.
When ozone is discharged too much, it will damage the respiratory system, nervous system and blood circulation system of the human body, causing great health hazards.

High-efficiency filtration and dust removal is a dust removal method that allows the outdoor fresh air to pass through the dust removal filter to filter out various solid particles in the air.

The advantages of filter dust removal
1. Generally speaking, the filter dust will be divided into several layers of filters, and the dust removal effect is remarkable. For PM2.5 particles with a diameter of less than 0.8 microns, the filtration efficiency can reach more than 99.9%.
2. No ozone is generated, and activated carbon filters can be added to absorb harmful gases in the indoor and outdoor air, so there is no need to worry about secondary pollution.

The disadvantages of filter dust removal
1. Filter and dust removal need to be replaced regularly, especially in areas with serious indoor and outdoor air pollution. Moreover, the cost of replacing the filter screen is high, which increases the maintenance cost in the later period.
2. Filtration and dust removal is to let the fresh air pass through the filter screen to remove dust, which will lead to excessive wind resistance, which will indirectly lead to an increase in operating costs.
