The air source heat pump "two-in-one" is a heating and cooling system solution that can provide cooling in summer and heating in winter. Previously, we used single or multi-unit central air conditioning systems, known in professional terms as "Freon systems," to solve the cooling problem in summer. These systems use Freon refrigerant transported through copper pipes.
The Freon system uses the refrigerant in the pipes between the indoor and outdoor units for heat exchange, with direct evaporation as the heat exchange method. During the cooling process of the air conditioner, there is a problem of "over-dehumidification," which can make the room too dry and uncomfortable, and in winter, it can easily lead to dry mouth and throat.
There is another type of air conditioning on the market called the "water system" air conditioning, which is mainly used for cooling and heating in large buildings. For example, large high-end office buildings and five-star hotels will choose this type of air conditioning. It uses water as the carrier. Because the cold wind blown by the water system air conditioning is relatively soft during cooling, and the water system air conditioning can adjust the water temperature and humidity.
The water system uses water as the refrigerant, with a secondary heat exchange method, relying on the stable heat transfer of water to provide a constant indoor environment. Compared to the "Freon system" air conditioning, the comfort of the water system air conditioning is higher.
From the perspective of constant humidity, the water system central air conditioning can provide comfort that the Freon system cannot guarantee. This is because the direct evaporation heat exchange of the Freon system can cause the indoor temperature to drop sharply due to the temperature difference, making the user feel dry. The secondary heat exchange method of the water system central air conditioning will not cause over-dehumidification, so it can truly achieve constant temperature and humidity in the indoor space.
At some point, industry professionals thought, what if we try to put the hot water from the "water system" air conditioning into the floor heating in winter? The results were surprisingly good, which led to the development of the air source heat pump "two-in-one" system.
The advantages of this system are that when cooling, its comfort is higher than our commonly used "Freon system" multi-unit machine; when heating in winter, its effect is similar to that of the boiler with floor heating. However, data shows that for the same heating area, the cost of the water machine two-in-one system is only 1/4 of that of electric floor heating, 1/2 of that of gas wall-mounted boilers, and 3/5 of that of ordinary air conditioning, making it currently the most energy-efficient cooling product.

The air source heat pump two-in-one unit, also known as a floor heating and air conditioning integrated machine, integrates the functions of air conditioning and floor heating into one host system, also known as the floor heating and air conditioning two-in-one supply. It uses an air source heat pump host to produce hot water not exceeding 55°C in winter to provide floor heating for the room.
In summer, the same host is used, and by switching to cooling mode, the machine will produce cooling water at the required temperature for heat exchange in the fan coil, blowing out cold air.
You can take a close look at this picture, which very intuitively shows the floor heating and air conditioning two-in-one supply system. Outdoors, there is a host, water tank, pump integrated station, and pipeline connection; the host is a cold and heat source, providing the room with the required cooling and heating; the water tank is an energy storage center, storing cooling and heating; the pump integrated station is a distribution center, supplying the required cooling and heating to each room according to demand.
It's very simple to understand, the outdoor machine heats or cools the water in the water tank, the water tank stores hot or cold water, and the pump sends hot or cold water to the indoor. When cooling, the indoor machine blows cold wind through the cold water, and when heating, it uses the hot water floor heating pipe for ground heat conduction for heating.
