DECENT MACHINERY recently delivered a fully customized ventilation fan solution for a client in Peru, addressing a range of technical specifications and adapting the design for high-altitude performance. The project site, located at an elevation of 3,000 to 5,000 meters, presented several environmental and mechanical challenges that DECENT successfully resolved through engineering customization.
Motor Configuration and Electrical Compatibility
To ensure seamless integration with Peru’s electrical infrastructure, DECENT selected a motor that supports three universal voltages—220V, 380V, and 440V. The motor operates at 60Hz and features a 12-lead output for versatile control. It is paired with a star-delta startup configuration and comes in a gray housing to align with both functional and visual expectations.
Optimized Fan Design
The ventilation fan is equipped with two impellers, each supplemented by guiding blades to improve aerodynamic efficiency and reduce turbulence. A welded protective net is installed on the front for added safety. The fan’s base structure is modified with integrated forklift slots, as requested by the client, to support safer handling and on-site mobility.
Custom Add-ons and Installation Features
Five heavy-duty lifting rings are installed on the fan housing to facilitate secure hoisting. DECENT will also provide a complete set of technical drawings, including casing diameter dimensions, to ensure precise installation in the field.

Adaptation for High Altitude
Due to the significant elevation of the site (3,000–5,000 meters), DECENT’s engineering team accounted for reduced atmospheric pressure and air density. At these heights, power loss is typically 10% per 1,000 meters. To offset this:
DECENT increased the fan’s power reserve by 30%
Enhanced compressed air intake and flow volume were included in the system design to ensure reliable operation
