In the refrigeration system of industrial chillers, the main function of valves is to control the flow and direction of refrigerant. In daily use, valves are often used. When the industrial chiller needs to be shut down or turned on, valves are needed. Due to its high frequency of daily use, more attention should be paid during installation to ensure its normal use without affecting the stability of the use of the industrial chiller. The following will show you the installation steps and precautions of valves in the refrigeration system of industrial chillers.
 
1. The valve should be installed in a place that is easy to disassemble and maintain. When installing various valves, attention must be paid to the flow direction of the refrigerant and they must not be installed in reverse.
2. When installing flange valves for industrial chillers, the flanges and the flanges of the valves must be padded with high-pressure asbestos sheets. The thickness of the high-pressure asbestos sheets should be determined according to the depth of the flange groove on the valve. When the valve is large and the groove is deep, a thicker asbestos sheet should be used to avoid gaps between the concave and convex interfaces and poor sealing. When assembling flange valves, all bolts must be evenly stressed, otherwise, the concave and convex interfaces are prone to deflection.
 
3. When installing the stop valve, the working fluid should flow from the bottom of the valve to the top. When installing on a horizontal pipeline, the valve stem should be vertically upward or tilted at a certain angle, and the valve stem is prohibited from facing downward. If the valve is difficult to access or is located at a high position, the valve stem can be installed horizontally for easy operation.
 
4. When installing a check valve for an industrial chiller, ensure that the valve core can open automatically. For a lift check valve, ensure that the center line of the valve core is perpendicular to the horizontal plane. For a swing check valve, ensure that the valve core plate rotates, and the valve core plate must be installed horizontally.
 
5. The safety valve should be installed directly on the stop valve at the outlet of the equipment, and the arrow on the valve body should be consistent with the flow direction of the working fluid.
 
6. The solenoid valve must be installed horizontally at the outlet of the equipment and must be installed in the position specified in the drawing. If the solenoid valve is installed in front of the throttle valve, the distance between the two should be at least 300mm.
 
7. The thermal expansion valve in the industrial chiller must also be installed horizontally. Pay attention to the inlet and outlet connections of the valve. Usually, there is a filter at the inlet end of the valve. If the thermal expansion valve is to have good control, the position of the temperature sensor is very important. The temperature-sensing package should be firmly fixed on the clean air intake pipe, so that the temperature-sensing package has good contact with the air intake pipe. The external balance pipe of the external balanced thermal expansion valve should be installed at the lower part of the temperature-sensing package binding place of the return air pipe, and the distance from the temperature-sensing package binding place should be 150-200mm. The temperature-sensing package should be tied to the horizontal pipe section, and the external balance pipe should be connected from the top of the horizontal pipe section of the return air pipe.
