The droplets undergo physical adsorption or chemical reactions with pollutants, effectively removing sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from the exhaust.
The advantage of this device lies in its high flexibility, allowing for the selection of different absorbents based on the type of pollutants. For instance, alkaline solutions can be used for acidic exhaust gases, while mixed pollutants can be managed by adjusting the spray density and droplet size to optimize the treatment effect.

In the industrial sector, the combination of baghouse filters and spray absorbers helps address diverse exhaust compositions and complex pollutants. For example, in the treatment of high-temperature exhaust gases in steel plants, spray absorbers can quickly cool the gases and remove acidic components, enabling simultaneous purification of dust and gases when paired with baghouse filters. Additionally, in chemical plants dealing with volatile organic compounds, the high adsorption efficiency of spray absorbers becomes particularly crucial.
