A centrifugal fan is a device that converts energy into pressure or velocity to transport gas. Its working principle is based on the action of centrifugal force.
 
The centrifugal fan is mainly composed of the following components: air inlet, impeller, rotor, exhaust port and driving mechanism.
 
1. Air inlet: Gas enters the fan through the air inlet.
 
2. Impeller: The impeller is the most critical component of the centrifugal fan. It is usually arranged with conical or curved blades. The function of the impeller is to generate centrifugal force through rotation, pushing the gas to the outlet of the centrifugal fan. The shape and number of blades of the impeller can be designed according to needs to achieve specific air volume and pressure.
 
3. Rotor: The rotor is the central part of the impeller and usually consists of a motor, transmission and bearings. The motor transmits the rotational force to the impeller through the transmission device, causing it to rotate.
 
4. Exhaust port: The exhaust port of a centrifugal fan is the location where gas is discharged from the fan.
 
The working principle of centrifugal fan is as follows:
 
1. When the motor starts, the drive rotor starts to rotate, and the rotor drives the impeller to rotate together.
 
2. The rotation of the impeller generates centrifugal force, causing the gas to be sucked close to the air inlet and pushed to the outlet direction of the centrifugal fan.
 
3. During the rotation of the impeller, the gas entering the impeller is constantly affected by centrifugal force and moves outward, forming a high-speed airflow.
 
4. The high-speed airflow is pushed out of the centrifugal fan through the exhaust port and transported outward.
 
To sum up, the working principle of the centrifugal fan is to rely on the rotation of the impeller to generate centrifugal force, pushing the gas to the outlet direction of the centrifugal fan, thereby realizing the transportation and flow of gas.
