DECENT MACHINERY Completes Factory Inspection of Custom Rotary Drum Screen for Central American Carbon Processing Client

Recently, our technical and quality control team carried out comprehensive on-site factory inspection of a customized rotary drum screen, which is scheduled to be shipped to our valued client from Central America.

This rotary drum screening machine is tailor-made to match coconut shell and activated carbon production workflows. It delivers two core processing functions for carbon manufacturing: first, it screens crushed raw coconut shell materials to strip out coconut fiber impurities before carbonization; second, it grades activated carbon finished products by particle size after the activation procedure. With this dual screening capacity, the equipment greatly improves the finished quality of activated carbon products and lifts the overall operational efficiency of the whole production line.
 

During the inspection, our engineers demonstrated the full set of standardized operation procedures of the rotary drum screen for quality verification, as detailed below:
 

 

Operation Procedures of Rotary Screen：
 

1.  Main Power Switch Operation
Start up the battery main power switch before formal operation. For long-term idle storage of the machine, toggle this switch upward to cut off the whole power circuit for complete safety protection.

2.  Generator Automatic Control Panel Adjustment
Switch on the power supply of the control panel, and shift the operation mode to manual via the dedicated button. Hit the start key, and the unit will automatically enter an idling cycle consisting of three countdown stages: safety operation delay, idle running delay and equipment warm-up delay. Operators need to monitor real-time voltage and frequency to ensure both indicators stay within standard working parameters.

3.  Start the Full Screening System
Switch on the main circuit breaker inside the rotary drum screen control cabinet; the display screen and power indicator lights will light up to signal normal power-on. Press the green start buttons in order: Main Unit, Feeding Conveyor, Side Conveyor and Tail Conveyor, then the entire integrated screening system will run steadily. The machine can separate coarse coconut shell fragments, fine carbon powder and miscellaneous impurities in a single screening pass.

4.  Standard Normal Shutdown Process
Do not halt the machine with residual materials inside the drum. After all raw materials inside the cylinder are fully discharged, press the corresponding red stop buttons one by one to shut down each conveyor and the main rotary drum unit in sequence.

5.  Emergency Stop for Malfunction Risks
Once equipment blockage, abnormal vibration, motor overheating or any other hazardous failure occurs, press the red mushroom-shaped emergency stop button on the screen control panel without delay to cut off all operating loads instantly and eliminate potential safety hazards.
