1. Definition of air conditioner:

The full name of air conditioner is room air conditioner. It is a device that directly provides processed air to a room or other closed area, which can adjust the indoor temperature and humidity.

2. Naming of air conditioners:

Note: Generally, the voltage of air conditioners is 220V, but 3-horsepower models are available in 220V and 380V. 220V is for household use and 380V is for commercial use. Both 5-horsepower and 10-horsepower models are the same machine "S" (there is usually the word "S" in the air conditioner model. are all commercial machines)

3. Applicable area of air conditioner

1.0 HP: 2300W-2500W applicable area 11-17 square meters;
1.25 HP: 2600W-2800W applicable area 18-23 square meters;

2.0 HP: 4000W-5200W applicable area 30-35 square meters;
2.5 HP: 5800W-6200W applicable area 35-45 square meters;
3.0 HP: 6500W-7200W applicable area 40-50 square meters;
5.0 HP: 12000W applicable area is about 60 square meters;
10 horses: 240000W, applicable area is about 80-100 square meters.

Calculation formula: room area (square meters) × output power/per square meter (120-150W) = actual application cooling output power of the room.

4. Power consumption of air conditioners

1.0 HP: 880W-950W;
1.25 horses: 950W-1300W;
1.5 horses: about 1300W;
2.0 HP: 1800W;
3.0 HP: 2800W;
5.0 HP: about 5000W;
10 horses: about 10000W.

5. The environment in which air conditioners usually work

Single cold temperature ranges from 18 degrees Celsius to 43 degrees Celsius; cold and warm temperatures range from -5 degrees Celsius to 43 degrees Celsius.

6. Classification of air conditioners

Air conditioners are generally divided into vertical (cabinet) air conditioners, hanging air conditioners, ceiling air conditioners, central air conditioners and vehicle air conditioners.

The vertical type is generally suitable for living rooms because its air supply distance is relatively long. Families are more suitable for hanging air conditioners, and window air conditioners are generally suitable for bedrooms. Because bedrooms generally have smaller areas, window air conditioners are basically replaced by hanging air conditioners. Ceiling air conditioners and central air conditioners are generally suitable for use in multiple rooms such as hotels. Car air conditioners are generally used in cars to bring some convenience to drivers and passengers.

7. The difference between variable frequency air conditioners and fixed frequency air conditioners

The inverter air conditioner starts operation at high power, reaches the set temperature quickly, maintains it at low power, and balances the room temperature. Therefore, it can cool and heat quickly, save energy, and have small fluctuations in room temperature. Fixed-frequency air conditioners operate at a fixed power and maintain the indoor temperature by frequently switching on and off. Therefore, the cooling and heating speed is slow, which has a great impact on the household power grid and causes large fluctuations in room temperature.

8. The difference between DC inverter air conditioners and AC inverter air conditioners

What the DC inverter air conditioner changes is the power supply voltage of the compressor, thereby changing the working speed of the compressor. The power supply voltage is 150V~260V. AC variable frequency air conditioners change the power supply frequency of the compressor, thus changing the compressor working speed and power supply frequency from 10Hz to 150Hz.

9. Refrigeration cycle part

A closed system is composed of a compressor, throttling capillary tube, evaporator, condenser, electromagnetic conversion valve, one-way valve, pressure limiter, filter, dryer, silencer, etc. The system is filled with refrigerant.

10. Air circulation part

It consists of cross-flow fan, centrifugal fan, axial flow fan, air inlet dust filter and air outlet grille.

11. Electrical control part

It consists of computer control panel, temperature display, switch controller, power relay, starting relay, overload relay, defrost and thaw relay, thermistor, capacitor, compressor heater, etc.

12. Shell components

It is composed of the plastic shell of the indoor unit and the sheet metal shell of the outdoor unit.

13. Air conditioner fan

Can be divided into: axial fans, centrifugal fans and cross-flow fans. Axial fans are used in outdoor units. They use the force generated by the high-speed rotation of the blades to discharge gas and achieve gas exchange in the indoor unit. Cross-flow fans are used for indoor hanging units. When the fan is running, the airflow flows from one side of the impeller into the cross-flow impeller along the vertical direction of the fan axis, and then flows out from the other side.

14. Air conditioning performance coefficient and energy efficiency ratio

National standards stipulate that the test conditions for nominal cooling capacity are: indoor dry bulb temperature is 27 degrees, wet bulb temperature is 19.5 degrees; outdoor dry bulb temperature is 35 degrees, wet bulb temperature is 24 degrees.

The national standard stipulates that the test conditions for nominal heating capacity are: indoor dry bulb temperature is 20 degrees, wet bulb temperature is 15 degrees; outdoor dry bulb temperature is 7 degrees, wet bulb temperature is 6 degrees.

(The state also stipulates that the actual cooling/heating capacity of air conditioners is allowed to be 8% lower than the nominal value.)

15. Performance coefficient (EER) of air conditioner

It refers to the ratio of the cooling capacity to the total power consumed when the air conditioner is running for cooling:

ERR = actual cooling capacity / actual total power consumption (W / W) = nameplate cooling capacity / nameplate input power (W / W)

The physical meaning of the performance coefficient is the amount of cooling capacity that can be generated by consuming 1W of electrical energy. Therefore, an air conditioner with a high performance coefficient consumes less electricity to produce the same cooling capacity.

16. Energy efficiency ratio (COP) of air conditioner

It refers to the ratio of the heating amount to the total power consumed when the air conditioner is running for heating:

COP=actual heating capacity/actual total power consumption (W/W)=nameplate heating capacity/nameplate input power (W/W)

The physical meaning of energy efficiency ratio is the amount of heat that can be generated per 1W of electrical energy consumed. Therefore, an air conditioner with a high energy efficiency ratio saves electricity when generating the same amount of heat.

Purchase, installation and daily maintenance of air conditioners

The applicable range of air conditioner voltage: the voltage range of fixed speed air conditioners is: 198-242V; the voltage range of inverter air conditioners is: 187-242V. At the same time, the Simple detection of air conditioner failure: check whether the power supply has power and the voltage range is normal enough; check whether the remote control battery has power; whether the setting parameters are normal; whether there is electromagnetic interference near the indoor unit that interferes with the remote control transmitting signals.

The cooling capacity of the air conditioner is determined: for a standard room with a floor height of 2.7 meters, a ceiling height of 2.4 meters, a window area of 1.8 meters * 1.8 meters, and good insulation and sealing, the cooling capacity per square meter is 130W, but it is limited to cities , orientation and floor, etc., the average customer can estimate it based on 160W/square meter. Selection requirements for air-conditioning sockets: Generally, wall-mounted machines and cabinet machines below 2P are 10-16 amps, and cabinet machines above 2P are 25-30 amp sockets. They require reliable grounding and are close to the air-conditioning plug. The air-conditioner must use a dedicated fixed socket. No other electrical appliances are allowed. Requirements for power cords for air conditioners: the entrance cord must not be less than 10 square millimeters. The air conditioner should have a dedicated branch line with a capacity at least 1.5 times greater than the maximum current of the air conditioner. (Below 2P, single-stranded plastic copper wire with a size of 2.5-4 mm2 should be used, and above 2P, a single-stranded plastic copper wire with a size of 6 mm2 should be used.
